When using the Rich Text Editor, the right-hand side of the page displays the target item, but a new mechanism in Pages makes it easier to use. In this article, we will show you how to do it.
Regarding previous UI
When editing as seen in Pages, if you select a component of the Rich Text Editor, the icon that specifies its formatting will appear on the right side.
It was a bit awkward to use the right side, but this has now been improved with a new feature.
How to change
The site version must be JSS version 21.5.2 or later in order to make the change. If you meet this requirement, open Variables for the target instance in XM Cloud Deploy. Then, add a new key.
- Name - PAGES_ENABLE_NEW_RTE_EDITOR
- Value: true
- Target: CM
After setting up, it will look like this
After changing the settings, run Redeploy again. This will make it effective.
After change
The rich text editor will behave differently when the above settings are made and the item is enabled.
The new Rich Text Editor allows you to add tables. They also appear above rich text fields, making your work more efficient.
