Add content type

To use Content Hub ONE, you must first set up your content types. In this article, we will create a simple content type.

Create new content types

When you open Content Types in the administration page, you will only see a button because nothing has been defined yet. Click this button to create a content type. The screen immediately after clicking is as follows

In this case, Blog is used as the Name. The ID should start with a lower-case alphabetical letter.

Once the creation of a new content type is complete, you will be taken to a screen where you can set the fields to be used in the content type.

Click Add Field to see a list of field formats.

  • Short text - Short text data
  • Long text - long text data
  • Rich text - Various data can be included, such as bold, italic, etc.
  • Number - Number
  • Boolean - Yes or No
  • Date / Time - Date and Time
  • Reference - Specify related content
  • Media - Images and other media files
  • Select - You can set your choices

Before adding a field, there is an icon in the upper right corner. Let's take advantage of this.

Start with AI

You can enlist the assistance of AI in creating your field definitions. Click the Start with AI button in the upper right corner to switch to the following screen.

The text "Blog page with title, body, image, and other related articles" is already displayed as a candidate. This is the one we will select this time.

Clicking the Generate button will result in the following

To add a few more items, change the prompt to "Blog page with title, description, publish date, slug, body, image, and other related articles, and click Regenerate". The fields are updated as follows.

We will review the generated fields.

  • Title - Required fields in short text fields
  • Description - Required fields in short text fields
  • Publish Date - Required fields for date and time
  • Slug - Required fields in short text fields
  • Body - Rich Text Required Fields
  • Image - Required Media Fields
  • Related Articles - Linking available for all content types with references

The fields created also include additional help on their use, which can reduce the amount of work involved in creating content types.
